L'Italia gira il colore rosso !

Tired of Berlusconi's policies, Italian people decisively voted for a change and they choose none other than the center-leftist Romano Prodi.

It will be interesting to see Prodi's stand on Italian foreign policy. He is a strong advocate of common European foreign policy and always opposed the Iraq invasion.

The center-left's arrival in power in Italy and the weakening of the center-right government in France will have a strong impact on European unions policy making.

Before heading to European union reforms Prodi has to do some tough jobs back home.Repairing of an ailing Italian economy will be his first task. The tightness of his majority and the make-up of his coalition will constrain him from moving far left on economic policies.

Anyway one thing is for sure , it will be more-EU-less-US for Italy.
